1500.

That’s a lot of posts. Last night was pretty rough as Luke started to get sick a couple of hours after going to bed. We were up a lot and Liz ended up staying with him in his room. He was in much better shape this morning though, despite a low grade fever. We took it pretty easy this morning, just doing his puzzles and looking at magazines. After lunch we attempted to have him take a car nap, but that didn’t work so we just drove around then stopped to watch some construction equipment working. This afternoon we played some more, had an early dinner, and now Liz is putting him to bed.

All kinds of fun activities.

This morning Liz and Luke made breakfast cookies and then we played around a bit. Mid-morning we went to the farmers market, then to the library for a magic show. Liz’s friend Molly was there with her husband and daughter. We finished up with grilled cheese sandwiches from a nice spot downtown. After going home for a little bit we hit the road again to watch some construction equipment working at the new battery plant in Spring Hill and went by Kroger to get some Valentine cards for Luke to take to school. He was super tired tonight so bed time went very quickly.

Enjoying another sunny day.

This morning I took Liz’s car in for an oil change and then shopped at the fancy Kroger on the other side of town. Unfortunately they did not have a lot of the items that I needed either. Back home I worked on my receipts a bit while Luke and Madeline went to the park. When they returned we had a video call with my parents and aunts, who were all in Brewton. Luke really enjoyed that and talked about it for the rest of the day. After lunch I finally got fully caught up on all of my receipts and accounting, which felt great. Luke and Madeline went to another park and upon returning Luke and I played until dinner time. He seems to be dragging out the bed time routine tonight.

Therapy, errands, resting.

This morning I had physical therapy, which was a little painful. After that I drove up to Spring Hill to visit the library, Food Lion, and Kroger. Back home I did some work on the computer and took a fitful nap. I also prepared dinner in the slow cooker. When Luke and Liz came home we played until time to eat. Luke told us about his day during dinner, and afterwards we played and cleaned up. Liz is doing the bed time routine with him now.

Surgeon says…

I went to the doctor this morning. After having to wait 45 minutes I finally received an audience with his majesty. He stayed about two and a half minutes and seemed pleased with my progress. He wrote me orders for twelve more physical therapy visits and said to return in six weeks. After that I dropped of some books at the library, picked up a few groceries from Kroger, and returned home. This afternoon I drove up to Liz’s office and took her to the dentist in Brentwood. After driving her home I played with Luke. Liz went to dinner with a friend, so I did the whole dinner, bath, and bed time routine with Luke. That got a bit challenging at the end, but we made it through.

Ramblin’ man.

I took it pretty easy this morning, then finally got out of bed and messed around on my phone for a while. When it looked like it had warmed up enough I drove down to Sewanee and parked at the terminus of the Mountain Goat Trail. From there I hiked three miles towards Monteagle, then three miles back. It felt great to be outside and to be moving. It wasn’t too cold but I did keep my jacket on the whole time. After finishing I went to Piggly Wiggly. I rested for a couple of hours after lunch then went next door to chat with Debbie for a while. I then drove home via Fayetteville, arriving just a few minutes before Liz and Luke. We built a new line-up, kicked the ball, and did his states puzzle twice while waiting for dinner. At dinner he told us about his day at school. Bed time was pretty rough but he eventually went to sleep.

Mountain mania.

This morning after Madeline arrived I drove to Lowe’s in Tullahoma to correct an error with my flooring order. From there I headed to the Mountain with a stop in Pelham for lunch. I did computer work and rested for most of the afternoon before going to Piggly Wiggly. There I ran into my friend Dan and we agreed to meet for dinner at Shenanigans a little later. Before going there I stopped by the Templeton Library for sunset. It was a little chilly but lovely. Dinner was nice and we chatted until after ten. Now I’m beat and hope to fall asleep soon.

Resting, stretching.

Today I made a very conscious effort to work my fingers. That was pretty much to the detriment of everything else, other than watching the new Reacher series on Amazon. I do feel like a made a lot of progress on my fingers. The show was good too.

Freezing cold but still going out.

This morning we had a nice breakfast with my parents and after they left we went to the farmers market and then drove around a bit to look at some construction equipment. This afternoon we built line-ups and played inside. Luke went to sleep earlier than usual because he was so tired.

Sleepy day.

I barely slept last night so was really dragging this morning. I had physical therapy, which went well, then ran a couple of errands after. Upon returning home I tried to nap for a while. Later this afternoon I did computer work until my parents came down. Luke was super excited to see them and showed them his line-up. Liz and I went out to dinner while they watched Luke. After dinner we drove around a bit then went to downtown Columbia for ice cream. We returned home to a nice and quiet house, as Luke was asleep.
