Finishing the week strong.
I got an early start this morning and after going by the lumberyard I set up at the job site. My first task was cutting some cedar boards to length, then preparing the main room for laminate. That took a while but eventually I was able to start installation. It went down pretty easily. I worked until mid-afternoon when I returned to the lumberyard, then went by the cottage to pack up. Back at the job site I met with the electrician for a bit before driving home via Bell Buckle. Liz and Luke were surprised to see me, as I had expected to be home very late. Tonight snow is expected.

Busy but unproductive.
This morning I took my trailer and picked up the interior doors. I took the trailer home then went to therapy. I drove to the Mountain afterwards and arrived just as Douglas was finishing up the electric trench. I unloaded the doors and brought over the water heater and final toilet. After finishing work I went to Piggly Wiggly for some food.

Hammerin’ it.
Douglas’s friend Reese brought out his excavator and hammer today and they went to town on the sandstone. I ripped tome cedar for the trim. The electricians came by to install some fixtures. I drove home and made it in time for dinner. Luke was in a good mood.
Diggin’ it.
Douglas the excavator showed up this morning and started digging the septic tank. He hit rock just a couple of feet down. He is going to have a buddy of his bring out another machine with a rock hammer. I installed some base boards and corner pieces. The weather was nice.

Back to flooring.
I slept well last night and got to the job site early. It was a nasty, rainy day, but not cold. I was able to install the laminate in the third bedroom. The work day ended about three and I went back to the cottage and relaxed. This evening I had dinner with Dan at Shenanigans.

Another new adventure.
This morning we drove down to David Crockett State Park in Lawrenceburg. There were two playgrounds Luke enjoyed, then we ate a picnic lunch. Next we hiked some to a waterfall and finished at the owl/hawk cages. Luke had a lot of fun. After dinner I drove to the Mountain via Lynchburg.

New adventure.
This morning Luke and I built Lego towers. After breakfast we read some and then went to a park on the other side of town. It had a playground and hiking trails, but best of all was a track for remote controlled cars. Nobody was there when we arrived, but shortly several people showed up. Luke loved watching the cars. Next we went to the farmers market before returning home for lunch. I took a nap afterwards then hauled trash to the dump. Dinner and bed time went well.

More flooring.
This morning I got to the job site about 7:30 and focused on the flooring in the second bedroom. I finished it plus the closet, then wrapped up the last of the first bedroom as well. I also moved a lot of dirt to the driveway. Hunter came and painted some more, and my neighbor Bill stopped by for a tour. I worked until nearly dark then went to the cottage to pack and clean up. I had dinner on campus then drove home via Tullahoma. Unfortunately Luke was asleep when I arrived.

Flooring and more.
This morning I took Luke to school. Gas was $3.99 a gallon in Franklin. I returned home then went to physical therapy before driving to the Mountain. There I focused on putting down flooring in the first bedroom and made good progress. I worked until nearly dark. Hunter also came and painted some more. Back at the cottage I was relaxing on the sofa and thinking about dinner when John called. We talked for nearly three hours. It was almost ten when we finished and Piggly Wiggly was closed. Dollar General apparently closed a few minutes early. Fortunately CVS was open and I got a few things there. Now it is pushing midnight and I am pretty tired.

Mud, flooring, and home.
This morning I scooped more mud out of the driveway and hauled it off. Next I started putting down laminate in the front bedroom. That started off a bit frustrating but improved once I got in the groove. I did that until my rubber mallet broke. Then I put underlayment down in the second bedroom. I went to the Goat Market for a late lunch and saw Dan and Eric there. After stopping at the cottage to pick up a few things I drove home via Lynchburg. Luke was happy to see me and we built lineups until dinner, and also chatted with my parents. Liz is putting him to bed now.
