This morning I just ran errands and hung out a bit while waiting to hear from the building inspector. After lunch and more relaxing I went to the job site to arrange the wood that I will attach to the walls as soon as the inspector gives his approval. I did that until dark. This evening I have just been relaxing.
Kind of back to work.
This morning I met the plumbers at the job site then returned to the cottage to clean it in anticipation of my parents’ arrival this afternoon. Back at work I cleaned and organized everything and took a lot of stuff to the storage unit. The plumbers finished up and I texted the inspector about a visit but have yet to receive a reply. For kicks I drove a bit down Laurel Lake and ended up stopping to talk with a neighbor for over an hour. I returned to the cottage and ate my slow cooker dish. I think I will watch another James Bond tonight.
Another busy day.
This morning Liz made pancakes and then we went to Home Depot and Publix in Spring Hill. After lunch we drove to Bloomsbury Farm in Nolensville for “Octoberfest”. We mainly went to see Maria the baker who had a booth set up with pretzels, pumpkin muffins, and apple strudel. They had a zipline and little climbing net, which Luke enjoyed. We finished up the excursion with free grilled cheese sandwiches. Back at the house I played with Luke for a bit before driving to the Mountain. I am about to start watching Casino Royale on my phone.
Fun morning at the zoo.
This morning after breakfast we drove up to the Nashville Zoo to meet my parents. We walked all over and saw lots of animals, plus a train and zipline. Luke particularly enjoyed watching people on the zipline. After leaving we drove home for lunch, then went to the farmers market, which was moved to the afternoon due to a 5k race happening in the morning. Unfortunately less than half the vendors were there and those present had pretty limited stock. We still managed to get a few things though. Liz and Luke weeded around the yard this afternoon, then Luke and I built a Lego tower. Dinner was nice and now Luke is in bed.
Finally insulated.
This morning I got to the job site about 7:40 and got to work. I was feeling pretty motivated and made good progress. A pretty scene at Laurel Lake on the drive in also had me feeling nice. It took until mid-afternoon, but I got all of the wall and vaulted ceiling insulation finished. That was a good feeling. After showering back at the cottage I went to the Goat Market to chat with Eric for a bit. Then I packed up, chatted with Debbie next door, and drove home. I arrived just as Luke was finishing dinner. It was good to see him for a bit.
