Pretty good day.

The new nanny came this morning as we were finishing up breakfast. After a little preparation she went with me and Luke to Henry Horton. It was a pretty morning and not long after we arrived our neighbors that we met a couple of weeks ago came as well with their nanny. It was good to talk with Jamie and Luke enjoyed playing with the two boys, the younger of which is just about three months younger than him. We stayed there for quite a while and then returned home for lunch. Madeline left to go to her class and after a little struggle Luke took a nice nap.

We read some after he woke up and once Liz got off work we all went for a hike at the nature park. It was beautiful outside and everybody had a nice time. Dinner was sort of cobbled together and Luke was pretty late going to bed. I have been unable to sleep and am on the couch now looking at trucks and trailers online.

Pretty good start to the week.

Liz got home from her concert a little before midnight last night, and we talked for a while, so it was a very late bedtime. This morning was a little rough with daylight savings time change. Luke was happy to see my parents and Liz and we were able to make it up to High Hopes in time. His therapy went well and afterwards we visited Home Depot and Publix. Unfortunately we were unable to go to the playground due to rain so we went home and played until lunch. He didn’t take a nap and the afternoon went by slowly. Him and Liz were able to go outside after she got off work and I prepared dinner.

Another active day and fun with grandparents.

The time change threw us off a little bit, but fortunately we didn’t have a schedule for the morning. After breakfast we went to Target then the playground in Spring Hill. Luke had a lot of fun going up and down the slides. We came home for lunch and then he failed at napping. I was semi-successful. Around four my parents came by and Liz went to a concert in Pelham. We played outside until dinner and then he ate very well. My mother bathed him, read to him, and put him to bed. It all went really well. Now my parents have gone to bed and I probably won’t stay up much later.

Good news for a change.

I got out of bed this morning and was greeted by rain and breakfast cookies. Liz and Luke played while I did computer stuff. Mid-morning we had a girl come by to interview for the position of Luke’s nanny. That went really well and we offered her the job. She accepted and will start full-time in two weeks. She might work a few mornings before then. So that was a huge boost. By the time she left it was lunchtime, and we had a nice lunch. Luke didn’t nap so after some quiet time we went out on the town. First we went to get Liz some coffee, then stopped at the ATV store. Luke didn’t enjoy that as much as I would have expected. Next we went to Tractor Supply, where he had a great time and saw the little chicks. From there we went to Ace Hardware. On the way home we stopped at the playground at Iron Bridge Road. They were actually remodeling the main part so we went to a smaller section. Luke still had a good time.

Happy it’s Friday.

This morning Luke had remote therapy and so I went to Kroger. After he finished we went to the playground in Spring Hill, but didn’t stay long because he wanted yogurt. Typically he eats snack during therapy, but not today. We read until lunch time. He actually went down for a nap without too much difficulty, so that was a blessing. It started raining this afternoon which kept us inside for some Lego building and more reading. Dinner and bedtime were a bit late, but eventually both happened.
