This morning Luke and I played with Legos before going up to Franklin and meeting my dad at the park. Luke had a lot of fun there playing on the playground and pushing his stroller all over. We returned home for lunch and after he attempted to nap. That didn’t go well but he at least got some quiet time. After that we built more Legos then went outside. We drove to the back of the property and then walked around some. We returned inside once Liz got off work. I then went into town to see the tractor dealer, auto mechanic, gun shop, and auto parts store. Dinner was a nice Asian dish I made in the slow cooker. There was a lot of clean up before bath since Luke made several messes throughout the house. Liz is putting him to bed now.
High Hopes, walking, playing, napping, outside.
At the last minute I ended up going with Liz and Luke to High Hopes because we had some things to discuss. I dropped them of at High Hopes and went to Home Depot. As I was getting out of the car I realized that Liz had the key fob. Unfortunately I had already turned off the car. Fortunately it was only about a fifteen minute walk back to High Hopes, and it wasn’t cold or raining. I returned to the car with barely enough time to go to Publix and get a few things for Luke. Back at home Luke and I played with Legos, and he actually had a decent nap after lunch. We went outside after snack and he had fun. Dinner was good and Liz is putting him to bed now.
Back home.
I didn’t fall asleep until well past midnight last night, so I attempted to sleep in this morning. That didn’t really work, but I did stay in bed pretty late. Upon waking I split a little more firewood, straightened up the cottage, and gathered leaves for compost at the new property. I drove home via Fayetteville and was rained on the whole time, although without any intensity. Luke was attempting to nap when I arrived, but he heard me and all hope was lost. So we played with Legos and then he went with Liz to Target. Dinner and bedtime went pretty well.
Back on the Mountain, loving the beautiful weather.
This morning I hooked up my favorite military trailer and drove to Monteagle. I was meeting a guy from Georgia who was going to buy it. While waiting for him to arrive I split some firewood, which kept me warm. He came and was very friendly, and paid cash, so I was very pleased. I split some more firewood then went to CVS for some vitamin B12 syrup before going to meet a friend of a friend at her new property on the other side of town. It was a nice spot with an amazing view. She plans to build there. Next I went to see Debbie and stayed there for a pretty good while. Lots of customers came and bought a bit. After that I went to the Goat Market and chatted with Eric. Piggly Wiggly was my final stop of the day. I wasn’t as productive as I should have been, so will try to do better tomorrow. This evening I have just been working on materials lists for the houses and messing around on my phone.
Napping streak comes to an end.
Another early morning for Luke. We built more Legos and went outside for a long time before lunch. He helped me haul some wood to the burn pile. I am pretty pleased with our progress on cleaning up the property. He refused to nap after lunch and had to go to timeout a few times. After snack we built more Legos. Liz got off work and took him back outside while I went to the dump. He went to bed pretty easily I think.
