It was mighty chilly this morning when Luke and I set out for High Hopes. By the time we arrived there were snow flurries coming down. Unfortunately there had been some miscommunication and he did not have his occupational therapy and so we waited for 45 minutes until it was time for speech therapy. He handled the delay very well and did great at speech. After that we went to Home Depot for a couple of things. Back home Luke did a lot of playing and hauling. This evening after dinner I went to Kroger. Fortunately it wasn’t busy at all, possibly due to the inclement weather.
The last day of relatively warm weather.
This morning after breakfast we went to Home Depot to get a few things. We were mostly successful but struck out on a Christmas tree. I was caught off guard by how expensive they were. My parents came over before lunch and Luke enjoyed seeing them. This afternoon we just did a few things around the house. He really fought going to bed again.
On the Mountain for a day.
After breakfast I drove up to Monteagle, via Bell Buckle. I stopped by the cottage and chatted with my parents and Lauren before my dad and I went to my storage unit. There we loaded up my car with a bunch of tools and materials that Ill use for projects at home. Back at the cottage we all relaxed a bit more before I drove over to the new property. I walked around a little and made sure that my tractor was still there. It was, fortunately. Next I took some stuff to the thrift store in Tracy City and then met up with a guy to give him some clothes for his son who is a little younger than Luke. Finally I went to Hallelujah Pottery and chatted with Debbie and Charles for a bit. It was nice to see them. My drive home through Fayetteville and Lewisburg was nice and I arrived home around five. Luke and I played a bit and then we had dinner. He really resisted going to sleep but he eventually did.
Black Friday minus the excitement.
The pandemic meant that we didn’t go out shopping at the crack. Not that we would have anyways. We did however go to the battlefield park in Spring Hill once it warmed up a little this morning. Luke enjoyed that. After lunch he napped and Liz and I worked on a few small projects around the house. This afternoon we played until dinner and he helped us move some books. Bedtime went well because he was exhausted.
Day of thanks.
It was a nice day. Liz and Luke made breakfast cookies this morning, and then we drove up to see my parents and Lauren on the Mountain. We stopped by the cottage and saw my mother, then went to the dog park on campus to meet my dad and Lauren, and McGarrett. We walked around the lake then returned to the cottage. Thankfully the weather was glorious. Luke played with some toys that my parents had around while we waited for lunch. Lunch was delicious but of course I ate too much. Afterwards we took a bunch of family pictures. The drive home was fast and uneventful; Luke slept most of the way. We just kind of chilled out for the rest of the evening.
