It was pretty warm and not too wet today. I put down thresholds between the bedrooms and bathrooms, and trimmed out the bathroom with the completed tub surround. The HVAC guys nearly finished up today. I built a cedar box around the return air duct work. I worked all day but for some reason it feels like I didn’t get too much done. This evening I have just relaxed.
The gutter guys came this morning and got started, then a fight broke out between them and one got sent home. They worked all day and finished. The gutters look good. The HVAC guys also came and set the unit and ran a lot of ductwork. My dad and I focused on the tub surrounds. We used a synthetic tile that I had ordered from Lowe’s. It took a little while to get used to it, but we started making good progress, and it looks great. Unfortunately we came up a box short. Extra unfortunately, the style that I have is no longer available. Friday on my way home I will stop by Lowe’s and see if they can figure something out. This evening we had dinner at the Goat Market before my dad went home. I didn’t go home since it was late already and I need to meet the HVAC guys in the morning. After dinner I went down to Home Depot in Manchester and bought a nice shop vac. It will really help me get the house clean.
My dad came up this morning and we started spraying the attic insulation. Unfortunately the blower was a total piece of junk and kept clogging. What should have taken about an hour took six. During the times that he unclogged it I did manage to get the hole cut in the countertop for the sink. This evening we returned the blower to Lowe’s and had a nice dinner in downtown McMinnville.
Took advantage of the fact that it wasn’t raining. This afternoon the gutter came by and gave a quote. He will work later this week. This evening I drove down to McMinnville and picked up insulation and the blower at Lowe’s.
The time change was a little rough, but we made it to church this morning. after lunch we had a visit from the rector while Luke napped. Then we went on another walk at the nature park. The moon was lovely this evening, and I will be heading to the Mountain soon.
