The day started with me and my father-in-law going into town in search of breakfast burritos. We struck out and instead settled for delicious pastries from the Windmill Bakery. Matt and Krystal were at the house when we returned and it was good to see them for a little bit before they departed for New Orleans. We just chilled for most of the day, especially Luke who had a three hour afternoon nap. As it was getting dark we headed downtown for “First Friday”, a monthly event that we have been wanting to go to for quite a while. The square was pretty quiet, perhaps due to the anticipation of crummy weather, or maybe because everybody was maxed out from the holidays. We had dinner at a little cafe in one corner of the square, then got pie in another corner. Luke did great and really seemed to enjoy being out after dark, again.
