Returning home to a wild Little Man.
I finished everything on the Mountain this morning and was able to get back to the farm mid-afternoon. Luke was in a great mood.
Intermittent rain on the Mountain.
Some heavy rain today but I still got done most of what I need to. And managed to see the goats and photograph the fireflies. I also stopped by Lake O’Donnell, but the clouds kept things low key.
Father’s Day gifts and the Mountain.
Below are pictures of a couple of nice things I received yesterday. The first is a picture of Luke watching me while moving some dirt with the tractor. The second is a drawing that Liz had a friend of hers do, it is a close up of Luke while I am carrying him in the baby carrier. Both are lovely.
I waited until rush hour traffic cleared this morning, then drove to the tractor dealer in Murfreesboro. They didn’t have what I needed, so I continued onward. There was a lot of Bonaroo traffic headed into Nashville, but not much in my direction, fortunately. Once in Monteagle I was able to do everything I needed to before photographing the fireflies on the Goat Trail.
Father’s Day.
It was a pretty nice one. Luke was in a good mood and very active. He started off with a FaceTime call with Liz’s parents/ My dad came over for lunch and played with him for a while. My mother stopped by later on her way home from Alabama. I spent the late afternoon/early evening putting down grass seed and straw in the yard.
