There were some pretty serious storms out at the farm last night. They were passed by morning but the threat of rain hovered all day. Thankfully that never materialized. I spent most of the morning sleeping. Early afternoon I started doing some cleaning and organizing around the site. The mud made for messy going. I was able to get a few things out of the way though. Tomorrow we will get back to work on the siding and I’m hoping for a productive day.

The highlight of the day came this afternoon when my neighbor James, his brother in law Cory, and myself went for a little kayak trip on the Duck River. The weather was perfect and the river had just the right amount of water in it. We saw a handful of other people but mostly had everything to ourselves. It was so tranquil and relaxing out there. Hopefully we will be able to go out more.
